Mike Paget is a veterinarian with a very unique corporate career. Since the age of 13, Mike Paget knew that he wanted to become a veterinarian, and steadfastly pursued his dream by excelling academically at one of New York’s most prestigious high schools – the Bronx High School of Science. Upon graduating from Bronx Science, this New York City native found himself in rural Ithaca, NY at Cornell University where he obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Animal Science. After spending most of his life in the chilly northeast, Mike Paget headed south and matriculated at the University of Florida College of Veterinary Medicine where he received his Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine.
Upon graduating with his doctorate, he opted to work in the laboratory animal medicine discipline. As a result of his passion for excellence and commitment to his profession, Mike Paget passed the extremely difficult laboratory animal medicine board examination and became highly regarded as a leader in the laboratory animal science community.
Mike Paget had a very successful career in Corporate America, gaining significant business experience at leading pharmaceutical companies Where he spent most of his illustrious career. It was at Wyeth that Mike Paget had the rare opportunity to receive his greatest level of exposure to the most senior executives. Initially reporting directly to the former Chairman & CEO of Wyeth, his success eventually led to a promotion as the company’s Vice President of Corporate Diversity.
From the classroom to the boardroom, Mike Paget is a seasoned presenter to a diversity of national and international audiences. His breadth of professional experience and passion to leverage his “lessons learned” has led Mike Paget to focus on motivational speaking and consulting on various business matters.
